One letter

Still no letters in the post, so I rang the GP and yes, Dr S did write a letter to me on 4th May with the results of my MRI.  It was sent to the GP, and has ben sitting on their files for 2 weeks.

Hey ho.  The secretaries at the GP will take me a copy which I can pick up this afternoon.

I wonder who, if anybody, received my 'confidential' letter in the post!  (I doubt it was ever sent)

Still waiting for the copy of the actual MRI report.  And a new heppydoc appointment.

  1. Fiona,
It sounds like you are almost there. Good work on your part and good luck.

  2. Hi Carla. One letter found, one report and one re-scheduled appointment to go!
Not good news from Tony by the way. As there has been nothing on his blog for a while I looked on CancerChat. His wife and his mother are posting for him. He's back in hospital. More tumours, more pain, another colostomy op and something about more fistulas where the 'waste' has been finding new unexpected and wrong places to discharge within his body instead of outside.
Sorry to be the bearer of pessimistic news. All they are hoping for at the moment is pain relief, as he is drugged up on morphine and not aware.

  3. Thanks Fiona for the update. It is almost never good news when we don't hear from someone for a while. We figured Tony was having a rough go of it, but this is worse than we had expected. When you read something like this, it makes you almost grateful that Carole went as quickly as she did. It is just so hard to see someone you love suffering and not be able to do anything to change it.
Steve sees his oncologist again tomorrow. So far he seems to have won his bout with cancer. His life recently has just been crazy with work, school, and family. He is finishing up his last class and is graduating in June, a year later than he had originally planned.
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for good results from your tests.
    Thinking of you and Tony,
    Carla
